Across the
Empire State 12 snowshoe races
are being
collectively organized as a series for the 2011-12
snowshoe season. Each race has its own race director
and event management. Individual points will be awarded for
each race using a very simple
scoring system.
For 2012,
the DION series will be more competitive with your best six
(6) individual preformances determining your point
standings. A half marathon distance has been added as an
option as well. Prizes have not been determined, but the
top 5 male and female points leaders are eligible to take
part in a drawing for the prizes. Including a new pair of
DION racing snowshoes. Drawings will take place at the
championship race Feb. 19th.
